By looking back into her professional experiences on information sharing platform development in the past more than 10 years, Prof. Hong summarized that the development of information system and its application must be based on the practical need, and it requires close cooperation between technical, scientific and management sectors. The key to one successful information system is the massive data acquisition and its dataflow. Information Sharing means benefits sharing. All the participants fully agreed and lots of constructive suggestions came up in respects of implementation practices, data management and policy and law, including setting up and integrating automatic monitoring buoy (station) of different sectors to get long-time series data; insuring the sustaining valid of date source and its quality; data collected should be mined, integrated and analyzed, and further analyzed by establishing models for prediction; the development of date sharing system should be promoted through date automatic acquisition technology, establishing common standard and policy; discussion on the cooperation between technical sections and universities were also conducted. By the fluent communication and deep discussion, all the participants have gained deeper understanding on the development of GIS and information sharing platform and its technology on watershed-coast integrated management.
