Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship-2017

Application time: Feb 1st to May 15th, 2017
 
In order to attract more international students to study in Fujian Province and to promote the international exchange and cooperation between Fujian Province and the rest of the world, Fujian government set up scholarships for exceptional international students in undergraduate, maters or doctoral programmes from 2012. The scholarships cover tuition, accommodation fee and cost of course materials for one academic year.
 
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
Educational background and age limits:
Applicants for masters degree studies must have a bachelors degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a masters degree and be under the age of 40.
 
3. Application time: Feb 1st to May 15th, 2017
 
Applicants are eligible for scholarship assessment only after they are admitted to the masters or doctoral program of Xiamen University. (The prospectus for undergraduate programs / master’s programs / doctoral programs 2017 is available at http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn)
(1) Applicants are required to make online application at http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn/application and then download and print out the Application Form for International Students generated upon successful online application.
(2) Applicants can fill in and print out the Application Form for Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship.
(3) Submission of application documents:
Send by post to XMU Admissions Office by 15th May 2017 the two forms and other required documents.

Applicants are expected to keep their phones open and check their email regularly as XMU Admissions Office will contact them when necessary.
 
Applicants for undergraduate programmes will be given priority if they apply with a high score in SAT, IB diploma, GCE A level test, or UCE test. Applicants for postgraduate programmes will be given priority consideration if they graduate from world-renowned universities, sister universities or are recommended by senior professors or experts. A panel of experts at XMU will screen candidates for the scholarship and submit a list of nominees to university authorities and the Department of Education of Fujian Province for approval. Scholarship decisions will be made on the basis of the applicants’ application documents, academic performance, overall merits, research achievements and supervisors’ comments.
The result will be published on the website of the Admissions Office (http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn). Scholarship awardees will be notified via email.
