Following the meeting agenda, Prof. Xiongzhi Xue, Executive Director of COMI, delivered briefing about COMI activities in the past two years, and summarized COMI抯 progress on education, scientific research, communication and exchange, and outreach services. Prof. Qingshun Li, Director of COMI, made an introduction on the 揇ouble First Class?program, and the first class disciplines relevant to COMI. The meeting then had a warm discussion on COMI抯 opportunities and challenges in the 揇ouble First-Class?Program as well as the One Belt and One Road Initiative. Some valuable suggestions on COMI抯 development strategy have been brought up by the meeting, and some good development examples such as the National University of Singapore and also experiences on interdisciplinarity were also shared on the meeting.
