Dr. Ahsan Habib Visited and Delivered Lectures

Firstly,
Dr. Ahsan Habib introduced
the paper entitled “
Passive air monitoring of PCBs and PCNs across
East Asia
: A comprehensive congener evaluation for source characterization
”, which is published on
Chemospher
cooperating with Hogarh et al. This research investigated the spatial distribution of aerial PCBs and PCNs across East Asia region, which existing a rural–urban gradient of PCBs and PCNs in both
Japan
and
Korea
. However, a south-north gradient of PCBs distributed along the eastern stretch of
China
, the PCNs were somewhat equally distributed across the country. Based on statistical analysis, the results showed that air PCBs and PCNs across
East Asia
seemed related mostly to combustion and re-emissions (probably from contaminated environmental compartments such as soils).
