Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK), IPB and COMI have a solid foundation for collaboration. Dr. Luky Arianto, Dean of FPIK is currently the Associate Chair of the 4th COMI International Academic Advisory Committee (IAAC), and has been invited to attend several workshops/seminars organized by COMI. Additionally, he has recommended several excellent graduates from IPB to study in the Marine Affairs program at COMI. During Prof. Xue’s visit, both FPIK and COMI expressed strong willingness to promote cooperation in field of education and academic exchanges in a signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). Furthermore, as recommended by Dr. Luky, Prof. Xue and his delegation visited the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies (CCMRS), IPB. COMI has also signed a MOA regarding short-term training of sustainable coastal development. Some personnel from Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Indonesia have also participated in the meeting.
