In order to protect the seaside environment and also to set an example for the tourists and citizens who enjoys funs brought by the Baicheng Beach everyday, the five MMA students decided to organize a cleaning program on the Baicheng Beach during summer Vacation. Work began at 8.00 AM and lasted till 9.30 AM when the temperature began to soar. Masses of garbage were collected within the one and a half hour’s work. Moreover, future activities are planned to cover a wider area of the beach, not just the Baicheng Beach and it is hoped that the other students, especially from the Environmental Management Department join in, so as to make the work more effective and efficient.
